Ningura Napurrula - Wirrulnga Rockhole

Ningura was born south of Kiwirrkurra community at a place called Watulka, and she moved to Papunya with her husband Yala Yala Gibbs Tjungurrayi in the early days. Her status as a great artist was assured when she was chosen as the sole female artist to paint the ceiling of the Musee du quai Branly in Paris as well as depicted on an Australian stamp.
