Linda Syddick - Kangaroo man story

Linda Syddickwas born near Lake Mackay or Wilkinkarra, and her paintings are inspired by her traditional nomadic lifestyle and the Dreaming of her father and step father. Her step father is the artist Shorty Lungkarta Tjungurrayi, who raised her after her father was killed in a revenge spearing when Linda was only 18 months old. Her pedigree in art could not be higher with her uncles, Uta Uta Tjangala and Nosepeg Tjupurrula also teaching her to paint. Linda often paints the dreaming stories of the emu men, kangaroo men as well as Tingari. Size 70x40cm
