Makinti Napanangka - Hair string

Makinti Napanangka was one of the leading female artists at the time and her work was and is still highly sought by galleries and private collectors, as it is instantly recognizable. Makinti was named as one of the 50 most collectable artists in 2003 and again in 2004. She won the Telstra Aboriginal Art Award in 2008 and was a finalist many times.
