Polly Ngala - Bush plum

Polly Ngala is from Alparra in the heart of Utopia and is one of the most senior custodians of her country located around 350km north east of Alice Springs. She is one of the most accomplished artists from the Utopia region and her art is inspired by the Arnwetky or Conkerberry, which is a green spiny shrub that produces fragrant white flowers. You can see this plant in many of her artworks and they are bright and well balanced and generally consist of layer upon layer of dots of various colour, that creates a thick palette. Size 148x150cm
